Choosing me as your therapist offers a comprehensive and compassionate approach to mental health and well-being. I integrate various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), a mind-body approach, and trauma-informed care to provide tailored support for Children ages 6 to 13, Adolescents ages 14 to17, and Adults ages 18 and up.
My expertise lies in addressing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, school and work-related stress, grief, and life transitions.
The mind-body approach emphasizes the interconnectedness of mental and physical well-being promoting holistic healing. As a trauma-informed therapist, I create a safe and understanding space for individuals to explore and process their experiences.

I have over 30 years of experience in child / adolescent mental health, higher education, behavioral health administration including forensics.

Individual Therapy is a joint process between a counselor and a person in therapy. Common goals of therapy can be to inspire change or improve quality of life. People may seek therapy for help with issues that are hard to face alone. Sessions are offered in-person at my office located in Newtown Square or via Telehealth for residents in Delaware, New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Evening appointments are available.

Family Therapy can help repair any broken relationships the members may have with each other. Benefits of Family Therapy are improved family communication, healthier personal and behavioral boundaries, improved problem-solving, increased empathy, a deeper level of family trust, healthier family patterns and dynamics, reduced overall family conflict, better anger management skills for the entire family, and improved mental wellness for all.

Shannon Fitzpatrick Thomas, MA, LPC, NCC brings a deep expertise as a consultant in social services, education, and local government. She works in partnership with county agencies, educational systems, nonprofits, and community based organizations to establish priorities and deliver tailored consultation and planning.
Her scope includes strategic and cultural development, organizational assessments, evaluation of service effectiveness, and implementation of best practices. Shannon delivers professional training to various industries in Trauma Informed Care and Suicide Prevention. She also serves as a trusted subject matter expert on complex cases, cross system challenges and collaborative monitoring and evaluation efforts.
